Socially excluded/ income poor and economic growth

An upcoming Brotherhood of St Laurence lunch time seminar, on the 4th August, is titled ‘Has economic growth been good for the income-poor? And what happens to the socially excluded?

This abstract caught my attention because it talks about the between income poverty and social exclusion.

It seems like a similar paper is to be given at the Australian Social Policy Conference. However, the BSL lunchtime seminars are free and located 1/3 of the way from my house to ‘the field’ or a few blocks from uni. Plus, you get to see what questions and comments people working outside of universities have. BSL also very kindly record and upload the talks.
